Triton Practices return to EPB&GC

Triton Swimming is thrilled to return to the East Providence Boys and Girls Club this Fall starting Tuesday, September 6th at 5:30am.

EPB&GC Pool Closed Temporarily for Renovations

 

Triton practices at EPB&GC will be cancelled until further notice for renovations.  For the next few weeks we will need to improvise as we await completion of the pool, and look forward to our warm weather options.  

Alternate workout venues for East Providence-area swimmers include coached Mon/Wed/Fri morning workouts at Cumberland High School, coached Wed/Fri morning workouts at Roger Williams University, or self-arranged ad hoc workouts during lap swim times at Barrington YMCA (Y membership required), Brown University ($10) or CCRI-Lincoln ($3).

I will keep you all posted on the progress of the renovations.  Although this means we are temporarily homeless, I am very excited to get the much needed work finally underway.

Impressive swims at New England Masters Championships

 

Coaches are still working on meet stats, but in short, Triton joined forces with our SwimRI friends and came away with a historic win for the ages.  Triton swimmers were major players and contributed scores of new england champions, age-group high point winners, new england record setters, National Top-10 performances, and memories to last a lifetime.

Looking forward to seeing everyone back on deck.  Hey, it’s swimming…there is no off season.

2nd Annual SwimRI Stuffies vs. Steamers Intra-Squad Dual Meet

& after meet Social Gathering at Providence College and Ladder 133 Bar & Grill on November 23

Informal, co-ed meet in 6-lane, 25-meter pool. High-school event order + other relays. Warm up: 3:00pm. Meet: 3:30 to ~6:00pm. 36 swimmer cap.

 

If you want to swim, RSVP to trent.theroux@jwu.edu. The RSVP period closes Nov 18th @ 11:59pm. Captains Trent & Doug will determine team lineups. $20 per swimmer. USMS-NEM-SWMR membership required. Others are welcome to come time, cheer, heckle or otherwise socialize with the team.
